Programs of Study

The College of Education is the academic home of the university's K–12 school network — providing the teacher preparation, curriculum design, and educational leadership programs that power Caroline Education Community International PSA, Carolina's Early College, and the Rosa Parks Institute. Our graduates are the educators who will shape the next generation of Black scholars, leaders, and citizens.

Elementary & Secondary Education

Teacher certification programs for grades K–12 — developing culturally responsive educators equipped to inspire, challenge, and support students in diverse urban and suburban school environments.

Special Education & Inclusion

Preparing educators to serve students with disabilities through inclusive classroom practices, individualized education plans (IEPs), and evidence-based intervention strategies.

Educational Leadership & Administration

Graduate-level preparation for school principals, district administrators, and educational policy leaders — building the next generation of Black school leaders committed to equity and excellence.

Curriculum Design & Instructional Technology

Equipping educators to design rigorous, culturally affirming curricula and leverage technology for differentiated instruction — including the university's ASEoD Innovation Technology Network.

Early Childhood Education

Foundational preparation for educators working with children from birth through age 8 — grounded in child development theory, play-based learning, and family engagement practices.
