College of Dentistry

Advancing Oral Health. Serving Communities. Clinical dentistry pathways with hands-on training in modern dental sciences — preparing graduates to deliver comprehensive care with a focus on underserved urban and rural populations.

Clinical Programs

The College of Dentistry addresses one of the most persistent health disparities in America — the lack of access to quality oral health care in Black and low-income communities. Our graduates are trained not only in clinical excellence but in the cultural competency and community commitment needed to serve where they are needed most.

General & Restorative Dentistry

Comprehensive clinical training in preventive care, restorations, crowns, bridges, and full-mouth rehabilitation — preparing graduates to deliver high-quality general dental care to diverse patient populations.

Oral Surgery & Maxillofacial

Advanced surgical training in tooth extractions, jaw surgery, facial trauma, and oral pathology — equipping students for complex clinical procedures in hospital and private practice settings.

Pediatric Dentistry

Specialized care for infants, children, and adolescents — with emphasis on early intervention, preventive education, and creating positive dental experiences for young patients in underserved communities.

Periodontics & Orthodontics

Clinical training in gum disease treatment, dental implants, and orthodontic correction — addressing the disproportionate burden of periodontal disease in Black and low-income communities.

Community Dental Health

Public health dentistry focused on community outreach, school-based dental programs, and mobile dental clinics — extending oral health services to the neighborhoods that need them most.
